"NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- A newspaper analysis of fresh FBI statistics finds that
New Orleans is once again the nation's murder capital.
The Times-Picayune determined that with 64 killings per 100,000 people in 2008, New Orleans had the highest per capita murder rate in the nation, well ahead of
second-place St. Louis, which had 47 murders per 100,000 people...."

Bad little Jason has been a busy boy.
Touche.
I *am* from a family of criminals after all.
It's the humidity don't you know.
I love New Orleans...my grandparents used to share an apartment with Red Adair on Chartres. We used to go all the time when I was a wee child. My husband and I used to visit once every 6 months or so when we lived in Houston. But, I have to admit, I've had the three scariest moments of my life there when i truly thought I might die. Now that we live in El Paso, we go to Santa Fe...the rape capitol of the world.
Hmmmm... I thought Detroit held that title.
but you have low unemployment.... its a trade-off.....
