Well then JC Penney's is the place for you.
Here's a selection from their 1975 catalog:

Darlings, it’s time once again for our annual Christmas tradition (now in
its 18th year, if you can believe it), the perennial “White Christmas,”

I could use a new hookah since I broke my bong throwing it upside my polyester pimp’s head when I was really high wearing my atomic print onesie...On a totally related note I used to get such a chubby looking at the same 1975 Sears catalog where the guys PENIS was hanging out...thanks for reminding me about it...gotta go getting a chubby...
I had a friend who had a furry bedspread like that! Black fur! She was just a kid!
The pimp outfits are awesome. Errr. . .far out?
I LOVE old catalogs. I'd scanned some photos from one of my 1930s catalogs, but never got around to making an entry about them.
i kinda want that onepiece turquoise tank thing....
and jancee is a genius
YAY!!!
some of this stuff is just sooo weird. i don't know what possessed people to want to wear this.
Miss Janey will take a new Hookah, please.
Wow, blast from the past. I remember pouring through the catalogues and weekly circulars looking for the underwear shots (I was like 10 or so). I seem to remember that JC P had the best shots, imho.
This is decidedly my era and I don't recall much of this 'Superfly' polyester crap. But we did shop JCP all the time. It wasn't till I left home that I discovered other underwear brands beyond "Towncraft."
And, yes, always surfed the underwear section for wood-makers. But then I also scoured all the 'mother of the bride' gowns and always picked out the one most flattering to my coloring and figure.
Can you imagine what we're going to be laughing at in 2030?
"I remember way back in 2007 when there was this Croc fad. People wore brightly-colored rubber shoes with holes in them--shoes the dogs kept mistaking for toys. Well, mine anyway." ;)
"Yeah, but do you remember the THONGS that people wore under their low-cut jeans in 2007? You just weren't cool if your thong and ass crack weren't showing."
whoa...that underwear, um, spread takes me back...
Ooh, can you imagine the hat from page one with the turquoise onesie on page two? I think I have next year's Mardi Gras costume.
Gee, I see JC Penney's has an untapped market there in hookahs and turquoise patterned bikini brief outfits.
I wonder if their marketing department has looked into it?
