Zoe Saldana is on a style winning streak, we’d say. We’ve always felt that
her preferences were not entirely to our tastes, but we wouldn’t claim that

pillow talk
Yes, this is a post about throw pillows.
Is what this blog has come to? How did it all fall apart?
Whatever, life can't all be bitching and gratuitous male models, can it?
Anyway, as you can probably see, I have an addiction to cheap throw pillows from Target.
Is there help for this? Somehow they help me cope.
Being creativepoor, however, whenever I see something there that strikes my fancy, I have to delay my gratification for a few months.
Almost inevitably, (but not always) a set of two find their way on the dusty jumbled end caps for me to find.
I imagine this is exactly how a heroin addict who's just scored a hit feels.
After my most recent purchase, (Cher), I noticed something like a theme.
Each one was rather like a different diva....so now I've named them.
Oh my god, is this what I've become??? The man who names his pillows as if they're pets.....after divas!
Kill me now.
At least, I now have the bugle beaded pillow to die upon.

Is it June yet?
Why hi there!
Yes, I am still alive....sorta.
How about y'all?
Where've I been, you ask? (ok, so maybe you don't)
Well, I've been working all too much....and being sick all too much....and being a little blue all too much too.
ahem
Oh, and for spring break I took a little trip to Cancun (by which I mean, of course, the hospital).
Yeah, like any good Victorian lady last week I clean passed out....and me without my smelling salts.... and had to be rushed to the ER.
Not to brag, but I do have a flair for the dramatic.
A million tests later, no real cause was found for my vertigo, other than my near fatal blood pressure and the residual effects of the pneumonia I had had a while back. I'm now quite doped up on a small fortune of medicines which aren't even that much fun. But I'm alive, so there's that.

So it's a miserable freezing rainy day here this Mardi Gras. Damn you, global warming! Despite a valiant attempt on my part to get to Mr. Peenee in his posh underground lair in the French Quarter, I failed. ahem The parking gods were not with me. I'm not sure I'd have been able to get through his phalanx of houseboys, anyway.....but I was hoping to try. My white stockings were soaked in the attempt. I looked like a drowned ostrich. Alas.
But there's always next year, right? Meanwhile, Happy Mardi Gras y'all!
