job hazards

So, one of my coworkers had a heart attack today in the class room.
Dropped to the floor. Luckily, it was at work and not in the car on the way over.
She went into surgery and is doing fine.
(Freakishly coincidental article I heard about this weekend here)

In the eight years that I've been here, there've been at least five heart attacks happening at the work place...that I know of.

In those eight years, I've had two coworkers actually die in classroom.
Mondays can be hard.

Today was supposed to be a 14 hour work day, but I'm playing hookie for the last three hours. Screw them.
Oh, and I have to work tomorrow too. Let's just hope I'm not next.

Thank God you got out of there in time. I fear the grim reaper is a stalking that place. I hope the co-worker is fine and recovers but damn are they sacrificing employees around there or what?

Sweet sick jebus. 14 hours??? No wonder people are dropping like flies over there.

Mr. Jason, Miss J thinks you should leave NOW!

Yikes!!! And I was just reading that the Monday after the end of Daylight Savings is supposedly the day when the fewest heart attacks occur. I hope your co-worker recovers and you stay safe. Be well.

sweetie, I've worked here for more than 19 years and in that time how many people have had heart attacks and/or died on the job? Zero. Not one. None.

Maybe it's that New Orleans' water. Or the diet. Po-boys for lunch, Popeyes for dinner.

Jeez, who are you people teaching? A room full death adders and 'gators?
