Speaking of Germany in the 80s, specifically East Germany, if you haven't seen "The Lives of Others" yet, it's out on DVD. One of the best movies I saw this year. Top five for sure.
The only thing that would have made it more than perfect would be hearing the lyrics in German not in English with a German accent. But it's still great all the same.
