By traveling to S.F. you broke through the sacred Parrish Time Barrier Sticky Membrane (PTBSM), and let all the 1980s sticky residue that was clinging to the outer core, back in. Now, they're all over Nola, sadly now permanently, to multiply in places like Target, Wal-Mart, Linda Hunt's house and particularly in the back stages of school auditoriums right in time for holiday pageants.
