"Dido is no longer online"

The Facebook Aeneid
Oh, how I wish I had had this in that tedious Intro to Roman Lit. class.
You know, the one with the burned out misogynistic professor....the one who smelled like boiled cabbage?
Yeah, that one.

Anyway, it would have provided me with at least one extra day of skipping class.

Amazing.

"Dido is no longer online." I laughed and I laughed and then I got it. Sad. Dido was my favorite part of the Aeneid.

Ooops.

Accidentally misread it as "Dildo".

So was Rome founded by Facebook or what? I’m confused as usual with the Roman epics. If only they had Twittered the suckling of a wolf hound by twins. It would have added more sex appeal. Good story, could have used a vampire though...
