snow!

Of course you northerners will scoff, but here, snow is cause for mass hysteria.

Unfortunately, I was trapped at work for the duration of today's snow, so I couldn't take my own photos. There are countless ones at nola.com, from which I've stolen collected these.

I was trapped with 600 absolutely ecstatic young people, when a perfect snow came floating down from the skies. It piled up a good three or four inches in places.
I don't think I've ever seen so much in my life.
On my way home I saw no less than six full sized snowmen, all still standing.
Magic.

I'm happy that you guys got to see some at least. Sho does make N.O. look pretty all covered in white.

Azalea blossoms and palm trees in the snow. Who'da thunk? What's next? Glaciers in City Park?

I'll gladly forward our snow accumulations down yonder!

But it's always big fun to see kids light up. Just saying: Whoda' thunk snowmen in N. O. ?

Did you shake out that fur?

Graveyards! Swans! (Jealous.)

I used to think of Interview with the Vampire when I saw pictures of New Orleans cemeteries. Now I think of The Librarian: The Curse of the Judas Chalice.
