tales from the trenches, part 931.5

Rest assured, I did go on the first date I'd mentioned before. (Was there ever any doubt?)
It was all quite pleasant. We had tea and talked in the park for an hour or so.
I've been on literally hundreds of such first dates (I'm a bit ashamed to admit that, actually)
What's one more? Oddly, I've been told I'm good at it. Kind of like with my job, however, the talent I have doesn't seem to ever pay off in any real way.

Anyway, having still not heard anything from him, I (foolishly?) sent off a follow up note...who knows what that will bring.

All I know for certain is that I need a nap.

A "date"? What's that?

It's like a job interview, thom, but with no salary.

Eh, I don't think it was foolish. How else will you find out if he wants to go for a second interview?

Why shouldn't you write him to see if he's interested? Maybe that's what he's sitting around waiting for. Maybe the fact that you hadn't was what he's written about on his blog. Maybe I need a nap too.

Dates suck.

Not in the good way.

Ah......because MrP, I should know better...that's why.
So I still haven't heard back from him.
Back to plan Z.

I can't even imagine going on a date! Ha!

Tea in the park? It all sounds so civilized and Brideshead-esque.

Good luck, sweetie!

Given my druthers I'd chosse a nap over a first date anytime. That could be the reason why I am in a constantly dateless state.

That and the fact that no one has answered my personal ad in ages......
