Here are some pictures of the legendary house of Charles and Ray Eames.
It's always been one of my fantasy houses:
By the way, it's also the centennial of his birth I see.
Musical Monday: WHITE CHRISTMAS

Darlings, it’s time once again for our annual Christmas tradition (now in
its 18th year, if you can believe it), the perennial “White Christmas,”
done up...

I can see myself living there quite happily. :) Eames' (or is it Eames's?) stuff is timelessly classic. Makes me think of Frasier.
I dunno. I think I need a hint of gilt. Okay?
I love the sleek beauty of these, but my experience visiting friends with similar minimalist places has convinced me they're just not comfortable. It would be better for them to belong someone who would let me hang out there until I got tired of the severity and then I could leave.
Then I would go visit michael guy's gilt palace
Being the owner of a 1950s two piece black sectional, I kind of agree with peenee. The whole Eames/Knoll Showroom look is terrific (because i like my house to look like no one actually lives there). But I'm this close to going to the Levitz showroom and investing in some overstuffed, oversized, overwrought sofa with so many pillows on it I'd never be seen again.
In theory Miss Janey loves the clean lines and openness. I reality, she would wreak havoc... She does love her stuff. Also, alone at night, she would no doubt imagine a serial killer outside peering in the HUGE windows.
Oh believe me, if I lived there, there'd be g(u)ilt enough in it.
I love all things Eames.
